Kayaking Kit

The following are suggested guidelines for paddling kit for when you first start to paddle.

    • Lightweight trainers (that stay on feet)
    • Socks
    • Shorts or jogging bottoms (cotton not fleece)
    • T-shirt
    • Windproof/waterproof top
    • Hat
    • Sun block
    • Any medication you use
    • Drinks bottle – water or juice
    • Energy snack

WHK 045A wetsuit is not essential for kayaking.  If you have one then you may wear it, also wear a wind/waterproof top with it.  An old sweatshirt or jumper is also worth having with you.

Remember kayaking is a waterspout and you could get wet so bring a a complete change of clothes.
