Kayaking season is here

It is the season to be kayaking. As the weather warms it is time to get the paddles out, put the life jacket on and with a kayak head out on the water.

This is the third year the Watering Hole Kayak Club has been operating and we look forward to another season on the water paddling, learning new skills and how to keep safe. Last year we learned paddling skills and how to get out of, and then get back in to a kayak on the water. We also learned some essential rescue skills which meant that, was a group, we could take a small expedition up the Hamble River.

The Watering Hole Kayaking Club is for all abilities; novice and proficient kayakers are always welcome. Even if you do not kayak come along as there is always a picnic for the non-kayakers or those taking a break so it can be a fun family day out. All kayaking equipment and safety gear are provided. However, a change of clothes, sunscreen and food and drink are your responsibility.
