Taking Church Home

When you think about a church service, do you imagine people sitting silently in rows listening to a minister preaching in a beautiful building? Now is the time to start thinking differently…

The Watering Hole are taking church home. Starting 6th November, church will happen in local homes. Church in the home will be informal, friendly, relaxed and interactive, where anyone can chip in and add their own thoughts or ask for clarification.

When? Each Saturday afternoon, 1pm.

What can you expect to happen? Church will begin at 1pm with a ‘bring and share’ meal together (everyone is encouraged to bring something to share!). Eating together provides a great opportunity to catch up with what has been going on in each other’s lives since we last met. After the meal, at approximately 2pm, we will then spend time looking at Jesus life as we try to get to know God better and apply His suggestions to our lives so that we can get even more out of life. We hope that there will also be prayer, practical caring, fun and lots of laughter.

Where? Contact us to find out where the house churches will be on any given week. On the fourth Saturday afternoon of each month, all the house churches will meet together in Calmore Community Centre for a time of worship, celebration and learning more about what is involved in being a follower of Jesus.

Why not come and try it out for yourself?
