Easter Sunday – April 21st

Easter Egg Hunt: Meet in Hunter’s Hall, Calmore Community Centre – doors are open at 10:00am (for a 10:30am start). Sorry, NO unaccompanied children. Crafts while you wait for the hunt to start. This is a FREE event but donations welcome. There will be registration for the event at the door from 10:00am

Easter Bonnet Competition: Let your imagination run riot and create something special to wear this Easter. Hats can be any type of headgear but must be able to stay on the head. Your hat could even be a cardboard box that you have decorated with an Easter theme. You can use a whole variety of craft materials from cereal packets, sequins to fake chicks. The choice of materials is up to you. Have fun.

There are three classes to be entered: 1) Up to school Year 1; 2) Primary School (Years 2 – 6); 3) Secondary School and adults

Judging will take place at the Calmore Community Centre on Sunday, April 21st between 10.30-11.30am.

Each person entering the competition will need to be at the Hunter hall by 10.15 a.m.

Judges will be looking for originality, creativity and presentation of the hat. Judges will expect the hat to have been made by the person entering the competition, although parental help can be given to younger children. The hat should still reflect the age and ability of the contestant.

The hat must be wearable and must be able to stay on the head.

All judges decision will be final.
