World Smile Day – 31 Smiles Challenge

Spread the Smile

Today (3rd October 2014) is World Smile Day. So why not make someone smile with a Random Act of Kindness? Spread the smile. Read on to see what you can do.

World Smile Day is traditionally celebrated on the first Friday of October with the mission of…

…”improving this world, one smile at a time”

Just to get you smiling here’s an anthem for 2014 by Alex Boye – Smiles for Life. It’s hard not to smile when you hear this catchy tune.

Totton Random Acts of Kindness Club – TOTRAK – is launching the 31 Smiles Challenge. Make one person smile each day for the next 31 days by doing a Random Act of Kindness.

Post a note or a photo on your Facebook, Twitter or Instagram stream with the hashtag #31smilesRAK so we can find you. All these will be entered into a prize draw for weekly prizes and also for the grand prize after 31 days.

So what Random Acts of Kindness could you do? Some that have been suggested already are simply saying hello to those you pass; holding a door open; paying for a coffee for the person behind you in the queue (don’t let them know just tell the cashier). Help with gardening, carrying shopping and allowing someone to go ahead of you are other suggestions.

Just think of all those extra smiles the challenge will generate, all those days that will be brighter.

You can find more on the Totton RAK Facebook Page which will be updated daily.
