Easter @ The Watering Hole 2024

What's going on this Easter?

There is plenty going on during the Easter weekend. The following are events that The Watering Hole Community Church have organised. If you want more details or would like to volunteer at any of these events then please contact Rosemary on 07503 190775.

Easter Creative Arts Show - Good Friday

They say it’s the best show in town. Come and see what you think. C.A.F.E. Reach supported by Calmore Acro Zone present blacklight theatre, acrobatics, puppets and all sorts of creative arts as we explore the real message of Easter. The evening will be interactive. You even get the chance between acts to play a brand new board game – never before released! You will learn, answer questions, eat delicious treats and more.

This is a FREE event. You can just turn up on the night, however, booking tickets (FREE) will get you premier seats, closer to the stage.

Refreshments will be available from when the door opens until the show starts. Money raised will go towards buying an Eye Gaze for a child with cerebral palsy to be able to communicate with his family and those around him.

Hunter’s Hall, Calmore Community Centre – Friday, March 29th at 7:30pm (doors open 7:00pm)

Easter Service - Saturday

On Saturday, March 30th The Watering Hole will hold an Easter Service at Calmore Community Centre. Come along at 10:45 for a coffee and snack for a 11:00 start. All are welcome.

The Watering Hole Community Church minister, Rosemary Lethbridge will give an Easter themed message intriguingly titled “What Body Piercing Can Do For You – The Value of the Cross”

Easter Egg Hunt - Easter Sunday

This is an annual event and is very popular with families. In order to be more environmentally friendly the format has changed but there will be a lot of searching fun and lots of chocolate eggs.

Hunter’s Hall in the Calmore Community Centre is where it all starts. The doors will open at 10:00am on Sunday, March 31st for registration. There will be Easter themed activities available while you wait for the hunt to start at about 10:30am.

This is a FREE event but donations to purchase an Eye Gaze for a child with cerebral palsy to be able to communicate would be gratefully received.

With all that chocolate perhaps it is time for something a little more healthy. To help raise money for the above mentioned Eye Gaze we will be selling do-it-yourself bicycle made smoothies. Your pedal power creates your own smoothie so it is a double dose of healthiness.

To take part you must register. You can register to participate at the door on the day or you can avoid the queue and pre-register online by clicking on  this link.

This is a family event. We are sorry but NO unaccompanied children will be permitted to take part.

This event is organised by The Watering Hole supported by the Calmore Community Association, Calmore Junior School and Calmore Infants School.
