New group starting

The Watering Hole is starting a new group with Christine Lenz, a qualified psychologist and counsellor from Brazil. She will be working with The Watering Hole for the next two years.

The new group, It’s OK Not To Be OK, is an opportunity to share thoughts as the group discusses various topics from author Dale Carnegie’s book “Stop worrying and start living“. Enjoy a cup of tea  and a good chat while learning and sharing. 

A variety of topics related to the book about emotional wellbeing and resilience will be discussed as well as other topics. The group will be a safe space to discuss and share.

8 – 4 Good Working Habits That Will Help Prevent Fatigue and Worry

Start Thursday April 18th, at 10:30am with refreshments. Our meetings will be mostly on Thursdays 10:30am in King Rufus Hall – Calmore Community Centre.

This course is FREE. Registration is required so we can send you the free course materials Numbers are limited. If demand is high then the course will be repeated at a future date.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Psychology – Graduated in 2020 from the Institute of Higher Education of Brasilia (IESB).
  • Graduated in the Extension Course in Family Therapy in 2020 from the Unileya Institute.
  • EMDR certified by the InTCC institute in partnership with the IABC – concluded in July 2020

Work Experience

  • Community service in social clinic as an intern 
  • Assistance in the IESB community psychology clinic in Brasilia with brief psychotherapy for emergency cases as an intern 
  • Online service during the COVID-19 pandemic: March – December of 2021 
  • Psychologist in a social project of home care in Alexandria – Egypt (SDAHCA) helping refugee families from Syria (2021 – 2022) 
  • Assistant dean in Monterey Bay Academy from 2022 – 2023 (students from 11 to 17)
